Labiaplasty

What is a Labiaplasty?

Labiaplasty is a cosmetic procedure done to reduce the size of a woman’s labia. During pregnancy and childbirth the labia can be stretched out or enlarged. Labia can also be unequal or larger than desired. The size or shape of the labia minora can make intimate situations uncomfortable and can interfere with exercising.

The procedure is done in the office under local anesthetic. The procedure takes approximately 1 hour. After the surgery you can expect swelling and discomfort to the area. Pain medications are given to help with the discomfort.

The price of labiaplasty at our office practice ranges from $1800-$3800. The procedure is considered cosmetic and is not covered by insurance.

We will provide you with a personalized estimate at the time of your consultation. Usually, one consultation prior to the procedure and one or two post-operative appointments are advised and are included in the total fee of the procedure.

How Long Is Labiaplasty Recovery?

The first 48 hours are usually the most uncomfortable. Most women can return to desk work within 2-7 days. Sutures typically dissolve in about 4 weeks. You must refrain from sexual activity until your incisions have healed completely, which typically takes about 4- 6 weeks.
