Dr. Mary Meierhenry grew up in South Dakota and attended high school in Pierre. She graduated from University of South Dakota Medical school in 1992 and Michigan State OB/GYN Residency in 1996. Dr. Meierhenry served as the chief medical officer for the Department of OB/GYN at Naval Hospital 29 Palms California and received the rank of LCDR. She has been in private practice in Sioux Falls SD since 2000. Dr. Meierhenry is a board certified OB/GYN, Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and SD Board of Medical Examiners. She has certificates in Complementary and Alternative Medicine, medical laser safety, healthcare management and comprehensive aesthetic laser training. She has active staff privileges at Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital, Avera and Sanford Hospitals.
Dr. Meierhenry has received awards for teaching excellence and outstanding physician award. She is dedicated to continuing medical education and training. She believes staying active is important to health. She is a third degree black belt in Taekwondo, active in Senior Games and set SD records in track and field events. She is married to Dr. Wade Dosch and has four children. Together they enjoy their three dogs, camping and hunting.
My Practice
Dr. Mary Meierhenry provides a private independent practice with a focus on gynecologic care in addition to laser cosmetic services. I perform each and every service myself and my patients are in my care throughout their experience. My state-of-the-art office provides a relaxing but professional atmosphere.
My transition to a gynecology-only practice equates to a less hectic environment and allows for a more personalized approach to your health care needs. You can also count on being seen in a timely fashion. I provide gynecology services and wellness for all ages. I have a special interest in laser light therapy for menopausal genital syndrome, lichen sclerosis and hirsutism.
My office is dedicated to lower patient costs without compromising care and we work for you not a healthcare system. I am an in-network provider for Avera, Sanford and most private insurances. I also have a private pay fee scale. I am accepting new and transfer Gyn patients. My practice will not be accepting OB patients although we offer pregnancy confirmation through our in-office blood work.
